We have this tiny front porch that can only be accessed through our living room. It’s very narrow and it’s been tough to find furniture for.
Also, because of the climbing roses (which I love!) and it being so close to the street, it gets very dirty. So the goal is to outfit it in easy to clean furnishings. Now, this is going to seem like an ad for World Market but I promise you it’s not sponsored in any way. I just happen to live within walking distance so it’s convenient and they have great sales.
I started out with these two “all weather” (which means fake!) wicker chairs. I liked the mid century shape of them and the wooden bases. FYI, the color is much grayer in person than on the website. I grabbed a 20 dollar outdoor rug and some string lights as well. I had purchased this table last year.
I also put our molded plastic Eames rocker out there. It’s easy to clean and not too big for the space.
Plants help everything, don’t they? Hopefully I won’t kill these too quickly.
In the evening, it’s lovely to sit with a good book and some ice cream.
Or with wine, anytime.
Oh and this is Judy, our gargoyle! She has 2 (interesting?) stories.
1.) She came from one of the CASTLE sets. My husband used to write for the show and she was a prop on one of his episodes. I think she fell on someone and killed them, actually!
2.) We named her after a real estate agent who ripped us off. True story.
